Seth R. Thaller

holds a current Tenure Professorship with the University of Miami Division of Plastic Surgery. He joined the division as Chief in 1995 after receiving extensive multi-disciplinary training including craniofacial fellowship training at the University of California Los Angeles under Dr. Henry Kawamoto. Since then, Dr. Thaller has worked to expand the UM-PRS in all relevant arenas of patient care. His background, which includes training in oral and maxillofacial surgery, has led him to encourage facial trauma treatment’s inclusion of plastic surgery. He has also sought to establish proper management protocols for emergent hand surgery cases at affiliated hospitals and to stress the presence of plastic surgery in his surgical management. Dr. Thaller held the position of Chief until March 2017 as well as Program Director.

The Unfavorable Result in Plastic Surgery Avoidance and Treatment

ISBN: 9781626236745
The Unfavorable Result in Plastic Surgery has been lauded as a classic text in plastic surgery, described by reviewers as "an unforgettable masterpiece," "an invaluable companion text," and "a vast resource." Mimis Cohen co-authored the widely acclaimed third edition with the late Robert Goldwyn. Along with his esteemed coeditors and a cadre of prominent plastic surgeons, Dr. Cohen has produced an illuminating fourth edition. Embracing the book's original philosophy, "Mistakes are often the best teachers," the updated text and videos are remarkable in their candor, yielding a vast number of lessons typically not shared in the literature.
